2015 – 2025
China – Liaoning Province
With its large land mass and long coastline, China has exceptional wind resources. We adopted 4 wind farms in our portfolio from Liaoning Province in China. These projects will feed green energy into the grid, reduce the use of fossil fuels and CO2 emissions, and create permanent employment for local communities.
Combined, the wind farms consists of 131 wind turbines with a capacity of 1.5 MW each, delivering a stable and clean 196.5 MW of electricity to the North China Power Grid. It replaces an equal amount of electricity from the grid that is currently dominated by fossil-fuel fired power plants.
The project contributes to local sustainable development by:
– Reducing fossil fuel consumption for power generation, avoiding toxic substances such as sulfur dioxide nitrogen dioxide and dust which cause local environmental pollution and acid rain.
– Accelerating the commercialization of renewable energy technologies and stimulating the growth of the wind power industry in China.
– Create many permanent employment opportunities for local people during operation.
